How do I manage my Subscriptions?
Subscriptions are recurring payments made from your Capital on Tap card to merchants and software providers such as Amazon.
What is a subscription?
A subscription is a recurring payment you have authorised with a merchant using your Capital on Tap card. These payments are automatically charged to your card at regular intervals by the merchant.
Subscriptions are different from automatic repayments, which are Direct Debit payments used to repay your Capital on Tap balance.
How do I view my active subscriptions?
To view recurring payments linked to your Capital on Tap card:
- Log in to the web portal or app.
- Navigate to your Transactions page.
- Look for recurring charges from the same merchant.
Capital on Tap does not maintain a central list of your subscriptions. To see all active subscriptions, review your transaction history or check directly with each merchant.
How do I cancel a subscription?
To cancel a subscription, contact the merchant directly. Capital on Tap cannot cancel subscriptions on your behalf because the payment agreement is between you and the merchant.
What if I am charged for a subscription I already cancelled?
If a merchant charges your card after you cancelled a subscription:
- Contact the merchant directly to request a refund and confirm the cancellation.
- If the merchant does not resolve the issue, contact Capital on Tap support in the app or web portal to raise a dispute.
Keep any cancellation confirmation emails or screenshots as evidence when raising a dispute.
Can I block a merchant from charging my card?
If you want to prevent a specific merchant from charging your Capital on Tap card, contact the merchant to cancel the subscription first. If the merchant continues to charge your card after cancellation, contact Capital on Tap support in the app or web portal.
What happens to my subscriptions if my card is cancelled or replaced?
If your Capital on Tap card is cancelled or replaced, recurring payments will generally stop working until you update your payment details with each merchant.
Once you receive your new card, you can contact your subscription providers to update the card details.
