How Rewards work?

Capital on Tap offers two rewards tiers for UK customers: Free Rewards and Pro Rewards. You earn points on eligible card spending and can redeem them for cashback, gift cards, travel, and more.

What rewards tiers are available?

Free Rewards

Has no annual fee and benefits include:

  • Earn 1 point for every £1 spent on your Capital on Tap card - points are awarded once transactions have cleared.
  • Redeem points for cashback, outstanding balance credit, or e-gift cards.
  • Convert points to Avios at a 10:8 rate (10 CoT points = 8 Avios points).
  • 6 months of free Xero for first-time subscribers.
  • Free employee cards.

Pro Rewards

Costs £299 per year and includes all Free Rewards benefits plus:

  • A metal card for the main account holder
  • Unlimited, free airport lounge access with Priority Pass for the MAH
  • Two free single-use guest passes per year; additional guests £30 each
  • Complimentary Radisson Rewards VIP membership
  • 1.25% cashback on preloaded card spending by any cardholder (paid weekly on Wednesdays, covering transactions from Monday to Sunday of the previous week)
  • Convert points to Avios at a 10:10 rate
  • A complimentary digital subscription to The Times and The Sunday Times
  • Dedicated 24/7 customer support
  • 10,000 bonus points when you spend £5k in your first 3 months

Pro Rewards fees do not include VAT and customers can ask for an invoice if needed for their subscription.

How do I upgrade to Pro Rewards?

You can upgrade to Pro Rewards at any time through the Manage Plan option in the web portal.

How to redeem your points

Points are redeemable as soon as a transaction has cleared.

You can redeem points in the following ways:

  • Gift cards - choose from a wide range of retailers
  • Outstanding balance - apply points as a credit against your balance
  • Cash to your business bank account - redeem to the bank account we hold on file
  • Alternative bank account - redeem to a different account in your name or your business's legal name, at a rate of 1,250 points = £10
  • Avios - convert via British Airways Executive Club or Qatar Airways Privilege Club
  • Virgin Atlantic / Virgin Red - 5 Capital on Tap points = 4 Virgin points
  • Radisson Rewards - 1 Capital on Tap point = 3 Radisson Rewards points
  • Flights, hotels, and experiences - connect your existing provider account to redeem

To convert points to Avios:

  1. Go to the Rewards section in your customer portal.
  2. Select Flights, hotels and experiences.
  3. Choose British Airways Executive Club or Qatar Airways Privilege Club.
  4. Enter the number of points you want to convert and follow the prompts.

How do I view my Rewards point history?

  1. Go to the Rewards section in your customer portal.
  2. Click Points history.

You will see a statement-style view showing your daily points activity, including points earned, redeemed, adjusted, and refunded. You can also view points earned on individual transactions by selecting that transaction.

Why do I have a negative point balance?

Points earned on purchases that are later refunded are deducted from your account. This can result in a negative balance.

Why am I missing points?

Check the following before contacting support:

  • Cash withdrawals do not accrue points
  • Points are only redeemable once a transaction has cleared
  • If you are on Pro Rewards, the extra 0.25% cashback on preloaded spending is added weekly on Wednesdays

If you have checked these and still believe points are missing, contact support via the app or web portal.

Do Rewards points expire?

Yes. Points expire if you do not earn or redeem any points for more than two years.

My gift card has expired. Can it be re-issued?

Gift cards must be used within 90 days of redemption.

If the card expires due to a technical issue on our end, we can re-issue it. If it expired for any other reason, we are unable to re-issue it. Contact Capital on Tap support via the app or web portal to raise a re-issue request.

What is the refund policy for Pro Rewards?

If you have paid for Pro Rewards and would like a refund, you are eligible to request one within six months of signing up. The refund amount depends on when you request it. Contact Capital on Tap support via the app or web portal for details.

How do I cancel my Pro Rewards subscription?

The MAH can cancel the Pro Rewards subscription from the Rewards tab > Manage plan. Here the MAH will have the option to cancel immediately or cancel at the end of the current period. If they opt to cancel now, a pro-rata refund will be applied to the account.

What happens to my pro reward benefits if I downgrade to free rewards?

Your benefits end immediately on cancellation. Alternatively, you can disable auto-renewal and continue to access Pro Rewards benefits for the remainder of the year you have paid for. The plan will not renew at the end of that period.

Can another director redeem rewards on my account?

Redeeming rewards is not the same as owning the benefits. The reward benefits stay with the MAH even when someone else redeems.

If advanced permissions are enabled, then Admins and Accountants can redeem rewards independently.
